Simple Easter Basket Ideas for a Kindergarten-Aged Girl
Wouldn't it be great if we, as adults, could be happy with just about anything we are given?
It can prove to be difficult to decide what to put into your child's Easter basket. I know I struggle with it. I see all of these amazing ideas and themed baskets that other moms put together and start to get down on myself. But then I remember that my daughter loves just about anything that she gets. She does not care if she is given the most expensive items or if everything is from a dollar store. Wouldn't it be great if we, as adults, could be happy with just about anything we are given? That being said, I wanted to share what I've put together for this year's basket to help any moms and dads that may be struggling with ideas for their own little girl.

Basket and cat

I decided to emphasize the true meaning of Easter this year for my daughter. She is old enough to understand that the Easter Bunny, the egg hunts, and the basket of goodies are all fringe benefits to celebrating one of the most important events in history. I am a Christian and believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again 3 days later so that I may be forgiven of my sins and go to Heaven. It is important to me that my daughter grows up loving and believing in Jesus. Which is why I grabbed up a few items for her Easter basket to fit with that focus.
He is not here; He has risen!
- Luke 24:6-7

Although the items I got were from Hobby Lobby, you can find the following on Amazon:

No Bunny Loves You Like Jesus shelf display

You can even get a t-shirt with this same saying on it.

Jesus Sticker book

He is Risen

I got this Bible sticker book, the table decor, and the miniture rolling pin from Hobby Lobby.

Target Finds

In addition to the Jesus focus, I grabbed up some fun Easter items from the Target Dollar Spot. This is a great place to find fun, seasonal, and reasonably-priced items. I chose some flash cards to help my daughter work on her reading skills. I also grabbed up bunny-ear measuring spoons because she loves to bake. In fact, she informed us that her goal is to be on Kids' Baking Championship. We will have to see about that. But I still want to encourage her dreams.

Although the items I grabbed were from Target, here are some items that you might like from Amazon:

Hobby Lobby Finds

I absolutely love to go to Hobby Lobby for their seasonal decorations. They always have deals going on, so paying full price for something is usually not necessary. I also love that you can find Christian-based items there, as I mentioned above.

I found this fun-shaped Easter basket at Dollar General, along with a Paw Patrol chocolate. This is another store I love to go to for seasonal items. As a bonus, there seems to be one on every corner!
