Picture this: you are scrolling Facebook and see a post by your cousin (who also happens to be your best friend) that says she has found the perfect cake for her birthday, if only someone would make it for her. You like to bake and figure...how hard could it really be? So, you and your sister volunteer to make the cake for your cousin's birthday - which just so happens to be on Christmas Day.
So that scenario actually happened. My cousin saw the perfect, decadent cake that she wanted for her birthday - on Christmas. I had NO idea what I was getting into on that day. But here is my review on that delicious cake.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Review
Isn't it tempting? Doesn't it make your mouth water and your teeth cringe at how much chocolate, peanut butter, and sugar you will be consuming? The answer is YES! And I couldn't wait to try it out.
Here is my honest review:
It is SUPER time consuming. Be sure to read everything thoroughly to ensure that you have the time to do this (read: days). Perhaps don't take on such a project while also juggling Christmas presents, church, Christmas dinner prep, and all of the other things that the holidays bring.
Some of the steps are complicated but not impossible. I would say that you should know how to pipe if you want it to look pretty. Mine was not so pretty. I felt like one of those Pinterest fails compared to how the original looked.
Taste: YUM YUM YUM! It was so rich! There was so much chocolate and peanut butter. I am a fan.
Will I ever make it again? No.
Am I glad that I did it? Yes.
Was my cousin happy? Absolutely!
Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake is perfect dessert, anytime!
